Massimo Mariani
Massimo Mariani is an architect and designer; he was born in 1951 in Pistoia, Italy. In 1977 he graduated from the Facoltà di Architettura di Firenze, where he collaborated with scholar Remo Buti (from 1980 to 1992). In 1980 Mariani founded a firm for the design and the production of experimental objects and furniture called Studio Stilema, with Alberto Casciani.
In 1986, with a group of architects Mariani is the co-founder of the Bolidismo.
Since 1990, Mariani’s professional activity, based in Montecatini Terme, has focused on interior design and architecture. He has realized many kinds of projects, among them private houses and a lot of public buildings. From 90's Mariani also sign the design of many banks and directional buildings in Tuscany. Many projects of Massimo Mariani obtained very important honors, among them: “Inventare la copertina di Modo”, 1979; “La casa più bella del mondo”, 1988; “Premio Dedalo alla committenza”, 1999; US Award 2009, 2009.
About design activity he cooperate with Alessi-Tendentse, Stilema, Meccani, Arredaesse, Limonta, Unitalia. In 2005 Verbavolant editor has published a monograph about his work, called “Massimo Mariani Progetti 1980-2005”.
