This website and its contents are intended for access by persons located in Australia and the laws of this country. We make no representation that the content and operation of this website will comply with any foreign law.


Customers may elect, as part of their registration for a customer account on our website, to include their billing details, which allows for a faster process when they place future orders. Those customers acknowledge they are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of any such information provided.

Georg Jensen stores personal information from our customers in strict compliance with our Privacy Policy and Australian laws, as set out in the “Privacy” section of these Terms below.


We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express for purchases from our website via a secure online facility. If a credit card is declined at the time an order is placed on our website, that order will not be forwarded to us for further processing. Payment must be cleared prior to shipping of goods.

From time to time, some Goods may be out of stock or are unavailable and we may not be able to fulfil all or part of your order. If this happens, we will refund you the price paid for the Goods impacted.

Please note that we do not store credit card details. Registered customers will be required to re-enter those details for each new transaction.

In some instances, we may require further verification information for a credit card to be used for payment. If so, our staff member will contact you. Examples of when this may occur include: multiple unsuccessful credit card charge attempts for an order, a delivery address that is unable to be verified, and orders that include high value items.

If we cannot reach you about your Order using the contact details you provided in the Order, after having made reasonable attempts to contact you, we will cancel your order and refund any money paid.

Title to goods passes upon the goods being despatched from Georg Jensen’s facilities.

Special Orders

Thank you for considering Alessi for your special furniture orders. Please be aware of the following terms and conditions:

  • Payment Policy: All special furniture orders require 100% prepayment to secure the item due to its made-to-order nature.
  • Cancellation Policy: Once an order has been submitted, it cannot be cancelled. Refunds will only be considered in the event of a faulty item, in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
  • Confirmation: By ticking the checkbox at checkout, you agree to Alessi Special Orders T&Cs. This confirms that all details of the order, including production lead time, material, and style, are correct.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate contacting customer service.

SHIPPING - Australia Only

  • Free shipping within Australia only for orders over $150 (Excludes furniture)
    All orders will be shipped via Australia Post E-parcel.
    Our standard shipping rates, except where free shipping is via Australia Post: AU$15.00 per order, excludes furniture.
    Furniture will incur an AU$25.00 shipping charge per item purchased and will be delivered by Startrack couriers.
  • Delivery of orders within Australia
    All orders delivered by standard shipping will require a signature upon delivery. Where possible, we recommend that you use a business address for delivery where a trusted person is available to sign. If there is not a person available at the indicated place of delivery to sign for the delivery, you may be required to collect the delivery from a place nominated by the shipping company, such as an Australia Post store.
  • Unattended deliveries
    We strongly recommend that you do not instruct any shipping company to leave a delivery from us at any unattended location. Georg Jensen accepts no responsibility whatsoever for any delivery left at an unattended location.
  • Estimated delivery times
    We will endeavour to deliver your purchase to you promptly, however, all shipments may be subject to delays during peak periods or when shipped to regional areas. The following standard delivery times within Australia are estimates only:
    • METRO AREAS (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra, Perth, Adelaide, Darwin, and Hobart): approximately 2 – 7 business days.
    • NON-METRO AREAS: approximately 3 – 10 business days.
  • Multiple Shipments
    Orders will be sent in one shipment when all products in the order are available from stock (if a product from your order is not available within our standard shipping times, a member of our staff will endeavour to contact you). If you require multiple shipments of items from a single order, please contact us as soon as possible after placing your order at ph 03 4149 7000 or [email protected] so we can assist you. Customers who request multiple shipments from a single order will incur additional delivery charges.
  • Stock availability
    Please be aware that we receive online orders 24 hours a day. Therefore, an item you have selected may become sold out between updates of stock availability on the website and the time of your order.
    If an item you have selected has sold out we will attempt to contact you at the email address and telephone numbers provided with your order to advise if and when stock will become available.
    We will not be liable for a failure to deliver your order due to circumstances beyond our control, and if we cannot deliver, we will refund your payment.

Please note we currently only deliver within Australia. For all other delivery locations please change the Alessi site's country setting to the appropriate destination.


Refunds for change of mind are only available for purchases made online. You must contact us within 14 days of the online purchase to request a change of mind refund on 03 4149 7000 or via email. [email protected]

Refunds for change of mind are at our discretion. Goods that we accept for a change of mind refund must be returned to our online store in new and unused condition (including packaging) within 14 days of purchase. You will be responsible for any shipping costs for goods returned to us for a change of mind refund.


While we make every attempt to ensure your goods arrive in perfect condition, occasionally this does not happen. You must contact us on 03 4149 7000 or via email. [email protected] within 48 hours of receiving the goods to advise us that they are in a damaged or faulty condition. We will then provide the postage details for the return of the faulty or damaged goods, which will be at no charge to you.

You are entitled to either a full refund of the cost for faulty/damaged goods or a replacement of those items with identical new goods (subject to availability).

If you choose to receive a refund, we will process that refund within 14 days of receiving the goods. However, you may not receive the refund for some time due to processing delays by the financial institutions. We have no control over such delays by those financial institutions.

If you elect to receive a replacement, those items will be sent to you as soon as practicable after we receive the returned goods. If we are out of stock of any replacement item, or that item has been discontinued, we will endeavour to contact you to discuss the matter.

If the item is discontinued, we may suggest alternate goods as a replacement. If you decide to accept an alternative item, you must pay any additional costs over the cost of the returned item, or if the cost of the alternative item is less than the returned item we will refund the difference to you.


Please note that sale items cannot be returned other than as required by law.


The Alessi Dream Factory Program is a personalised loyalty program that allows you to earn points for every dollar spent to receive benefits.

$1 AUD equals 1 point. Your points are accumulated with each dollar spent online or in-store at any official Alessi concession store. You will not earn points when you use vouchers or pay for shipping. If you return a product, your points will be deducted. Your points will expire 12 months from the day you enter a new level and are not transferrable or cannot be redeemed as dollars.

Your birthday voucher expires 30 days from the day you receive the birthday email. The welcome offer expires 12 months from receipt of the official email sent by Alessi and can be used in-store at Block Arcade Melbourne (VIC), selected David Jones stores or online on full-priced items only. The offer cannot be used with any other offer or voucher. To redeem in-store, you must show this email to the store staff, and to redeem online, you must enter the code at checkout.

Gift wrapping will be unavailable during peak sale periods.

“Alessi Australia” is managed by Georg Jensen Pty Limited and is the sole distributor for Alessi in Australia.

This program only applies to purchases made in Australia via an Alessi Concession store (e.g. David Jones), the Australian Alessi website or a Georg Jensen store stocking Alessi, whilst Georg Jensen Pty Limited manages Alessi Australia. It does not apply to David Jones online.

The program may be terminated at any time at the discretion of Alessi Australia.

All rewards have an expiry date as dictated by the Rewards in each tier at which point they will no longer be available for redemption. Alessi Australia reserves the right to change the expiry date of any Reward at any time without notice.

Alessi Australia will not be held responsible or liable if Rewards are lost, stolen or not able to be redeemed for whatever reason but specifically in the case of a Technical Issue including without limitation the failure of software or hardware or an EFTPOS malfunction.

Alessi Australia reserves the right in its absolute discretion to exclude certain items and promotions from being redeemed by using Rewards.

Returns: If a customer wishes to return a purchase for reasons other than that the goods are faulty or misdescribed:

  • Any reward redeemed or utilised during the original purchase that is being refunded will be forfeited;
  • Any reward redeemed or utilised during the original purchase can be honoured for an exchange if the exchange occurs on the same day as the return and is of equal value or higher to the original transaction before any discount and/or rewards are applied. Otherwise, it will be forfeited.


Your privacy and the protection of your personal information is of great importance to us. Please refer to Georg Jensen’s Privacy Policy for information about how we use the data we receive about visitors to our website.


Our website may contain hyperlinks to other websites (Linked Websites). Georg Jensen does not control the content of linked websites nor does it control the third parties operating those websites. We, therefore, accept no responsibility for the content, availability or operation of any Linked Website.


The delivery of all orders received by Georg Jensen through our online store, notwithstanding our confirmation of any order and receipt of payment, are subject to the following conditions subsequent.

  • Pricing mistakes or website errors
    We endeavour to ensure that all information on our website, including the details, descriptions and prices of our products, is accurate. However, errors may occur from time to time.
    We reserve the right to cancel an order (or part of it) prior to shipment where the website contained errors or inaccuracies, including, without limitation, out-of-date information and incorrect pricing, and misdescriptions or incorrect details regarding shipping, payment or return policies (all, Website Inaccuracies). Upon discovery of a Website Inaccuracy, we will contact you as soon as practicable to discuss a replacement order, if payment has been received, we will promptly refund the paid amount of the cancelled order (or part of that order, as applicable).
  • Limitation of items
    Georg Jensen may limit the number of items supplied per customer at our discretion. If an order exceeds that limit, we may reduce the number of items to the limit and will promptly refund any amounts paid for the items removed, and will notify you of that change as soon as practicable.


  • Exclusions of liability subject to consumer guarantees
    You have certain non-excludable rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including guarantees for the quality of our products and replacements or refunds if they are faulty or damaged when you receive them.

    Subject to those non-excludable rights, Georg Jensen expressly disclaims any implied or express warranties or conditions of any kind as to nature, standard, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or otherwise relating to any product or service offered on this website.
  • Exclusions of liability and disclaimer for use of this website

Georg Jensen may terminate these Terms and your access to our website at any time without notice. In the event of termination, you are no longer authorised to access the website, but all restrictions imposed on you and all disclaimers and limitations of liability set out in these Terms will survive.


These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia and you irrevocably and unconditionally submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State.
