Matthieu Girel
Matthieu Girel (France, 1988)
In 2007, he received a BTS diploma in product design from Blois after studying applied arts. He moved towards architecture while working at a studio in Marseille. In 2009, he was commissioned to design furniture for the "Villa Noailles" exhibition in Hyères, which was followed by the exhibition at the Furniture Fair in Milan. That same year, once again taking up his passion for product design, he enrolled at ECAL (the Lausanne School of Art) to obtain a diploma in industrial design. In 2010, he designed "Spettro" for Alessi. For the second time, one of his creations was presented at the International Furniture Fair in Milan. In 2012, together with a team of other students, he created the scenery for the "Festival Images" in Vevey, Switzerland
