Pierfrancesco Cravel

Pierfrancesco Cravel graduated from the Politecnico di Milano where he attended the courses of Arturo dell’Acqua, Corrado Levi and Andrea Branzi with whom he designed some furniture for the house of Lawrence Steele, Grand Vases and Genetic Tales.

In 1998, he became Art Director for the Trussardi Group working with Nicola Trussardi and photographers that included Satoshi Saikusa, Steven Klein and Armin Linke. He designed the Python perfume bottle and the Trussardi Home Collection.

At his own company, PFC architects, founded in 2000, he has designed and created many commercial and residential building notably The Pirelli Skyscraper in Milan (1996), Villamoda (2001) and the public space around the Dubai International Financial Centre (2007). In 2012 he started to design for Alessi (Liconi 2012), Driade (Andrea and Lawrence) and Petite Hache (Dessins écologiques pour Pascale Mussard).

He has lectured in Architecture and Industrial Design at the Politecnico di MiLano since 1999 and as a “Visiting Professor” at the Luigi Bocconi University in Milan in 2010 and at the IED (L’Istituto Europeo di design) in 2012.

He has written articles and reviews for Vogue Italia and more recently for Domus online.
